Photoshoot in Semarang, Java

Getting off the plane, I didn't realize how small Semarang's airport was till I got inside. It's so small it took me a couple of seconds to get to customs. Looking out for my checked-in luggage was easy, just walk a few meters past customs you're at the conveyor belt . Literally - belt in singular tense. The entire airport has only ONE belt!

Travelling to the outskirts of Java, Indonesia with a high fever and tonsilitis was just a mess. I spent most of the 4 days wincing in pain, and trying to contain the intense nausea that came with the tonsilitis.

Gorgeous costal Semarang is a small town, and I was so surprised to find such great talent in this little known place! Jossy is Semarang's most well known photographer and not only is he talented, he was such a gem about me being sick and unable to shoot for 2 days. He was completely accommodating and I feel terrible and apologetic that I could only manage a super short shoot. But for what it's worth:

About Tenashar

When one speaks of a model, we can only imagine stick thin expressionless blondes with a mental capacity lesser than that of a gnat. However, such is not the case with Tenashar. With the fiery European tenacity she has developed whilst living in Europe, and perhaps egged on a little bit by her Eurasian descent, Tenashar’s talents extends beyond the realm of modelling, but also to photography, disk-jockeying and entrepreneurship. No stranger to the nightlife in Singapore, Tenashar also spins regularly with celebrity model DJ Nicole Chen at Singapore’s new hotspot, Avalon. As though spinning hard hitting beats were not enough already, this smoking hot tamale is pretty easy on the eyes as she spices up the party with her unique flavour of mixes.

Proficient in English, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin, it is no surprise the name Tenashar is fast becoming internationally known. Her modelling career, while shorter than most acclaimed models has already seen a series of successful shoots with notable brand names such has Cosmopolitan, FHM, Asian Geographic, and Fashion TV, a feat borne only through her tenacity and inextinguishable energy. As a model embedded with a European mindset, she hopes to work with more photographers and artists in her pursuit of creating more photos that would transcend the boundaries of conventional modeling. Where others might see modeling as a means, Tenashar sees beyond that, where what she does is an art form
